Good day,

I've encountered issues with world-hopping whether it be from the hop world interface while in-game or logging out completely or lobbying, signing back in or from the lobby, and choosing a new world resulting in a Game Client Message Popup telling me that I need to restart my client because my game session ended or something along those lines. I have this issue on multiple devices (Windows and Mac) using the RS Client so I'm not sure what the deal is.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm having the same issue, actually, for over a couple years... The biggest pain is not being able to visit the clan citadel. I can do a workaround for hopping worlds by just closing the game completely, logging back in and choosing a different world from there....

I know posting links isn't a thing here, but I've tried Reddit community and no answers.

I'm putting this here just in case anyone wants to see what this issue looks like, and would LOVE a possible fix for it. (and no, not promoting my channel, no bad intentions with this, just desperate after a few years to enjoy the content that RS3 offers)

I'm also having this issue, I've tried, Port forwarding, reinstalling client, steam, non steam, compatibility mode and a couple other things. it works on mobile but i cant even see whats going on on mobile. The biggest issue for me is also not being able to visit the citadel and missing a part of the content i PAY for. super frustrating. I also ran a trace route on it but i didn't know where to upload it to be seen.

I would recommend the Steam client for better a connection.

Sometimes you may experience a connection issue to one or more world servers. The best thing to try when this happens is to power cycle your modem and restart your PC. If that doesn't seem to help, you can try using a VPN as a temporary work-around while the issue gets resolved.

You can send your trace route results to Jagex through a connection issues support ticket .

Jagex apparently doesn't allow VPN's. I've tried using mine and it comes back in the client with a message saying my connection was blocked by Jagex for unauthorized access. This happens on multiple machines.

I've had the same issue for a while now and have tried everything Jagex support suggested, many things people on here have suggested and many things I found out on the web. I've gone as far as completely wiping out my computer and reinstalling windows from scratch starting first with just the runescape launcher, then the Jagex launcher and still no love. I've changed permissions on my firewall (windows and router) and, as a test, completely disabled the firewall on both and nothing. I'm stuck not being able to hop worlds ever. I've submitted a ticket to Jagex and just got a form letter saying they are aware of the issue, but no timetable...in other words they hit delete on my ticket 3 seconds after replying.

I'm hoping this brings some kind of closure to you. After literal years of dealing with this and just taking a lot of "copium," events happened IRL and I had moved to another city.

Doing so, I found that this had resolved my issues in a heartbeat. I can confidently say that my ISP was the reason I was unable to hop worlds without the "game session ended" bug.

I know this isn't the news you wanna hear, but it sure wasn't what I would have hoped to hear.

It's your internet service provider. I do not know what services they offer or if their router they provide (or your own router) is the issue. You can rest assured it is not a problem with your computer or Jagex.

You are safe to blame your ISP.
