Hi there
PancDisorder
,

It is possible that you may have found a bug within the game, given that clearly your backpack is empty and you are unable to collect your Treasure Hunter reward. I would suggest that you submit a bug report in-game, the instructions of which can be found on the Report a bug Support page.

Hope this helps, and best of luck.

Hi PancDisorder.

You can get this message if your bank is full, even if you have inventory spaces free.

If your bank is full, take out a coupole of items temporarily to free up some space, then try again.
Glad to be of service :) (Powered by GPP™ - Share and Enjoy!)

Yes, F2P. I've also purchased 2 (+50 bank slots) and still get the same results.
Initially, I theorized it was because I was on my mobile device to get daily keys. I had a full backpack when I first tried. Then ate the food I had and fletched the logs and the prompt still appeared. So I logged onto my PC and still got the same message.

A few things I've tried to combat this hoping it would reset.

1. Fill bags up and remove items.
2. Remove all armor.
3. Purchase more bank slots.
4. Switch worlds from legacy to others.
5. Played mini-games (hoping the instance would reset bag count or something)
6. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game on all devices ( you never know)
7. Dropped items in my currency pouch.

This same bug was an issue last year at this time. Sadly, Jagex was either not able or not interested in fixing this flaw with the Valentine's promo. Most likely, it won't be fixed again this year, and will return to cheat players again next year.

You may have luck avoiding this bug through a method posted to a thread in Recent Updates on this topic. Look at the total number of free slots you have filled. Then look at the total number of member slots you have filled. Add up these two numbers and compare that total to the number of F2P slots available in your bank. If you can reduce the total number of free and member slots filled to less than the number of F2P items your bank can hold, you should be able to avoid the effects of this nasty bug.

Ignore the lying message about needing "two free spaces". It could be 2. It could be 12. It could be 200. Just reduce your bank inventory, or buy bank boosters, so that the total amount of your bank could fit within the F2P portion of your bank and that should do the trick. Many items can be stored with Diango, so you won't really lose them.

It makes zero sense for bank space to be a factor when attempting to convert an unwanted prize to heartments. You would not be gaining a prize other than 100 heartments, which would be added to your money pouch. Nothing would be going to your bank! Instead, you are forced to take a prize you may not want, and settle for 50 heartments, because of bank space? That is idiotic.

By all means, report this as a bug. That is what I am calling it, to give Jagex the benefit of the doubt. The alternative would be they are doing this intentionally, in order to punish free players, or veterans (with large banks), or players who do not purchase MTX...pretty much anyone they are not all that fond of, who seem to be the ones most affected by this bug. At least I hope it's just a bug. We'll see if it gets a proper fix this year.

It appears this issue has now been resolved!

Players can now convert unwanted prizes to heartments, regardless of whether or not their total bank could fit inside the F2P portion of their bank.

Thanks Jagex, and well done to everyone who filed a bug report about this matter. :)
