Desperate Measures Lab Escape

At the end of Desperate Measures, after the cutscene where the Eye of Jas is used on Kerapac, you must escape his collapsing laboratory within 2 minutes. However, my client freezes when the rocks start falling, at timestamp 1:47, and I have to use 'xkill' terminal command to get the game to close, or restart my computer (I use Ubuntu 18.10). The game then puts me back before the cutscene starts, rendering the quest uncompletable.

So far, I've also seen the client freeze, sometimes at random, but in each of the cases where I investigate the goblin tunnels in the Warforge Archaeology Tunnels that collapse after getting the goblin tribe keys.

Sometimes, the terminal gives me the message 'double free or corruption (out)', but sometimes it gives me nothing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Please make sure that your device and graphics drivers are up to date.
Compatibility issues

If you can confirm they're on their latest version, Samora Kiba has a fix for a similar issue with the quest, so worth a try using the same concept.*

1)
Open developer console .
2)
Type
deletejs5caches
but do not execute it yet.
3)
Just before the crash, open up dev console and execute the command.
4)
Finish the escape
* if the command does not work for Ubuntu, try simply clearing your cache and then open up the game again.

I kept trying the lab escape some 15 times with absolutely no luck... Then tried on mobile and got hit with some rocks for 500 hp and it hanged on mobile as well... I have screenshots of me getting hit and game totally crashing on me just so I'll have proof in case I die on my hc... This is a serious issue. Hope they fix it soon...! PLEASE JAGEX at least make sure such quests are safe deaths throughout...! Cant test it another time and lose everything I've worked on, to some damn quest...!

I tried all of your steps as well @Corder. Completely cleared cache, tried setting graphics to min, even tried squeezing the window to gain more FPS. Nothing worked. Maybe they need to update some part of code so it works for ubuntu 20.04?

If they do not fix it soon i believe they should compensate us for not being able to finish the quest. Or just Give those that send message to them to fix the issues since its been so long some kind of compensation because this is getting ridiculous I just want to complet the quest and be able to finish all requierments for archyology :P
