I tried launching the client yesterday on Linux Mint and still get:
"radeon: Failed to get PCI ID, error number -13"
Feels like at this point it's going to take months before they consider doing an actual fix. Linux support really seems to be an afterthought to Jagex.

When I launch RuneScape on my Linux from Scratch system I get the following at "Loading Application Resources":
X Error of failed request: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 153 ()
Minor opcode of failed request: 4
Resource id in failed request: 0x6e00002
Serial number of failed request: 131
Current serial number in output stream: 135
I'm on the latest Xorg and Mesa Intel i965 drivers.
Help needed. Appreciated.
Let me know what further information I can provide.
Thanks.

So, I use the HikariKnight Linux wrapper for the official game client, and I just recently got a temp ban for macroing. I don't use any macros or third-party plugins, and I have no reason to believe I've been hacked, so my only guess at this point is that something in the bot detection algorithm had a problem with the client wrapper.
Looking around on the original project, I see a few other people having reported similar experiences some time ago. One did seem to have been hacked by a botter, but
someone else did seem to have something similar
some time ago. In a different thread, I saw HikariKnight respond with this:
Original message details are unavailable.
Jagex as far as i know has an exclusion for this client however it will still detect if you were doing something you weren't supposed to do like an injection or using a 3rd party tool to macro
I'm not aware of anything I could be running in the background that might have caused this issue (it's mostly just Brave browser, Discord, Spectacle and a text editor, plus usually redshift to change my screen colors to be more soothing.) I do, however, know that HikariKnight stopped maintaining this project a little while ago. Is it possible that Jagex removed the exclusion for this at some point? Given that this project is no longer maintained, what's the best option to play RS on Linux now? I'd picked the wrapper for the official client because it seemed like it would be the safest option, but now I'm wondering if it might be better to switch to RuneLite, which, while a third-party client, works closely with Jagex to ensure it's within the rules.
I'd been doing some heavy smithing grinding lately as a way to pass time while writing in another window, but now I'm kind of worried to open my client again in case of flagging another false positive.
I'm happy to provide any system specs or additional debugging info needed.
Thinking about it, I'm wondering if this has anything to do with my fix for the unreadably small font size issue I mentioned in this thread some time ago. In order to resolve it, I'd been using the recommended GDK Scale fix and running the following:
`GDK_SCALE=2 runescape -nonexistent`
Could the GDK_SCALE be triggering the detector for hitbox resizing plugins?
