I don't know what's going on but it takes three or more clicks of the desktop icon to even get to the log in spot. When I do finally get logged into the game, with in minutes the game freezes and shuts down. Now it's not just my laptop...it also happens on my wife's laptop. Both computers more than meet the specifications for the game to be played. Both computers have updated graphics to be able to play the game. I know it's not my internet connection because I'm running fiber optics. This is getting to be very frustrating and I would like to be able to play on the double experience this coming weekend.

', where most do shutdown apps and in more extreme cases do shutdown your system to cooldown said computer/laptop.

As 333333333 already said, change your game graphics to see if you are able to get your laptops tempature down/low to prevent your app/laptop from shutting down.
Playing in 'Ultra Mode' might cause more issues than playing 'Low Mode'.

Hello Jim, would you be able to give us a little more information about the specifications of your laptop and what kind of storage device you are using? If you are using a older HDD (5400 RPM) this may prolong login times vastly, in addition as previously stated, your temps might be getting too high and it downclocks your CPU which would eventually cause a crash if it goes down low enough.
