I have recently 'upgraded' to a jagex account and this is the first time I have attempted to log into OSRS using the Jagex Laaucher.
While I am able to log into and play RS3 through the launcher, when attempting to log into OSRS I get the below error message.
"Unfortunately Old School Runescape could not be started.
Please try uninstalling the game and re-install using the button in the Jagex Launcher."
I have uninstalled the launcher and the problem persists. I have attempted to clear my cache, but no cache appears to exist when following the guidance steps.
The Jagexx Launcher is the worst thing I've seen done to this game in 20 years of playing (that's really saying something) and all I want is for someone to help me get in and play the game...
As an additional note. The infinity loop that you enter when trying to contact jagex through support is abhorrent. Are Jagex trying to wind up all players so much that they lose the entire playerbase or have they simply not realised that an option to contact a person might be helpful!!!!?
One possible issue is you have the non-launcher client installed and it is attempting to launch that. Please ensure that you do not have another client installed, even if it's a non-jagex launcher client. Hope this helps!
