As the title says, I have been trying to get the Jagex Launcher set up on my Macbook Pro (M1 Max) Ventura 13.3 but once I get the installer downloaded and click to "Launch Installer" it opens the verification page (for outside app store download) once I click Okay the window seems to open into nothing.

I've rebooted my computer, updated java, removed java, removed all the jagex games, removed all of the files, downloaded the jagex games, nothing has worked for me at this point.

Ive seen other posts similar to this but I've tried all of their 'working' solutions and none have worked.

Please help, I imported my accounts to the launcher and now I cant seem to access them even on mobile.

I (as well as multiple others on the forums, reddit) am having the same problem. There does not seem to be a fix for us. Even with Java 8u331 it doesn’t open the launcher.. very annoying there wasn’t a heads up before locking our characters into the jagex account.

Please let me know if you find a fix!

The launcher doesnt run on java, it's a basic application with an embedded browser in it for authentication and launching purposes. So messing with java will have zero effect on the launcher installing or operating.

Only thing it'll do is mess with the OSRS client, but not much longer as the new c++ client seems to be about ready to launch based on a popup within the launcher that I saw yesterday.

You might want to check your privacy & security settings to be sure the apps are set to app store & identified developers. It could be a slightly diff page is popping up and you'll need to confirm it on that page instead of the pop up.

I'd suggest that everyone having this same issue contact jagex, because it does not appear to be a client-side problem, meaning there is nothing we can do until jagex fixes this problem. Really sucks that because I accidentally upgraded to the 'more safe and secure jagex account' and now cannot play at all until the devs fix this.

Its hard to tell if it's on Jagex's end or not. I have 2 M1 macs running 13.3.1, and everything has been working fine without issue. Even renamed the launcher to force a re-install and it loaded through the security banner to the installer.

But, that could be because I've been using the launcher since June 2022 when it was made available to macOS, so this could be something with totally brand new installations. So ya, definitely worth reaching out to Jagex to investigate.
