Have you downloaded the latest installation of the jagex installer? I've tried almost everything short of a full wipe, and my java version shouldn't affect the installer, but retried all of that anyways. Would love to get a copy of an old installer and try that, but can't seem to find those files anywhere.

Would be great to test with an older version of the Jagex launcher. I did try a clean install on a friends Mac running 13.2.1, and there the launcher worked. So it seems that something has changed going to 13.3. Anyhow I got in contact with someone from Jagex today and I am waiting for an answer to have any solution, even temporarily. Just so I can play the game again.

I got rid of the installers for the older versions. Though there were some hiccups around the time the closed beta came out where the OTA wouldn't update and we had to download a new copy to get anything that supported Jagex Accounts.

I did try to the new one recently actually. On my guest account, and I also went over to my Mom's mini and ran it there (no previous install on that device), and worked fine (even after updating it to 13.3.1).

I'm very curious to know what's going on to cause it myself, since everything works on the devices I try it on...I cant play around to find a solution.
Can I turn in a paper without citing all sources?

What kind of Mac you are talking about, how old is your Mac?

... updated to after installing Jagex Launcher (from Ventura 13.2.1)

Just downloaded/installed Jagex Launcher on a Mac Mini M1 (Ventura 13.2.1)

RuneScape 3 was installed before on said Mac Mini M1 but was removed so I had to reinstall everything, just now through Jagex Launcher. Which happens to be an easy installation.

I logged in into RuneScape 3 through Jagex Launcher and it works perfectly. After that updated MacOS to Ventura 13.3.1 RuneScape 3 and Jagex Launcher still working OK/fine.

Hi everyone,

We believe this is caused by a network setting in macOS called "Auto Proxy Discovery" which, when enabled, is breaking the installer. We believe this setting is disabled by default on macOS, so disabling it shouldn't have any adverse effects on your system.

To locate and disable this setting, visit this Apple support article .

We are working on a fix for the installer that will be released in the near future, but for now the best way to get around this issue is to disable this feature in macOS.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused
