I have just "upgraded" to a Jagex Account and downloaded the Jagex Launcher but both the Runelite and Official clients crash stating "process returned unknown error code".

I am using Ventura 13.2.1 and have updated to Java 8 as the requirements suggest.

This has currently locked me out of playing due to the Jagex Account not letting me use the old clients. Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this issue?

The current versions of Java are acting up, you'll have to downgrade to jre-8u331 (which is a wee bit old, from around August/September) to get it to work.

Hopefully this is a short remedy as the Launcher now says the new C++ client is almost ready for release so they can discontinue the java one, like what RS3 uses.
