RS not logging in via launcher

I merged my RS account with Jagex, and is now unplayable on my PC (Windows 10).

When launching RS from the Jagex Launcher, the RS client will briefly load then disappear and close with no errors/codes. When changing permissions to admin, it does launch, but will always go to the traditional login screen, which is no longer accurate due to the merge.

I can still log in and play via mobile and a separate PC no problem, but at a loss for the issue with my PC in particular.

I've tried the following to resolve:
- Numerous PC restarts throughout the below
- Numerous cache clears throughout the below
- Uninstall/reinstall Jagex Launcher
- Uninstall/reinstall RS both via Jagex Launcher, and via website download
- All combinations of admin permission on/off for both launchers
- Uninstall/reinstall Java

I've also searched forums/other platforms, and can't find anyone experiencing the same issue.

Any possible solutions or insight would be greatly welcomed.

Hello,

It does indeed sound like this is isolated to the one PC you are having issues with. I'd recommend listing your PC specs and what type of connection you are on (Wi-Fi, Wired). It could be a ton of different things but it seems like whatever it is could be due to a permission issue as running it in admin seems to change the results.

This could also be anti-virus issue, where it is blocking the launcher for some reason. Would be helpful to also list what type of anti-virus you are running to better help with a resolution. Good luck!

In Windows 10, do Control Alt Del and enter the task manager and find the Jegex launcher ( might have 2 listed ) click on one of them and end the task. Now, go back to the start menu and reload the app. This fixed the problem for me.

Jagex have completely screwed up this Jagex Account launch.
Runescape accounts disappear.
Websites are not available>

No provision to de-link a runescape account from a Jagex account. No ability to change a password.
Complete and utter shambles.
Played for 2 hours today then decided to get a Jagez Account for the golden cape shards.
Unable to play for last two hours.
Support sucks (email only)
So annoyed !!!!

Same Issue here, I have tried everything including full uninstall and reinstall. Nothing has worked Error "There was an error loading the game configuration from the website. If you have a firewall, check that this program is allowed to access the internet. (7.7)"

Has anyone been able to find a fix for this yet?
Closing program ni task manager did not fix for me.

Nothing worked for me either. There were 3 Jagez launchers running when I checked Task Manager, deleted them all and I still get "There was an error loading the gamhe configuration from the website". I get the loading configuration barr, then that message. And every time I try it loads another jagex launcher .exe to memory
