Turns out the issue was rs2client.exe, iirc in c/programdata, had admin permissions turned on (I mentioned I'd tried admin on/off but that was for the Jagex/RS clients, missed rs2client.exe) and this resolved the issue. Not sure how it ended up with admin permissions on in the first place *shrug*
Hopefully this helps any others experiencing this issue

I merged my RS account with Jagex, and is now unplayable on my PC (Windows 10).
When launching RS from the Jagex Launcher, the RS client will briefly load then disappear and close with no errors/codes. When changing permissions to admin, it does launch, but will always go to the traditional login screen, which is no longer accurate due to the merge.
I can still log in and play via mobile and a separate PC no problem, but at a loss for the issue with my PC in particular.
I've tried the following to resolve:
- Numerous PC restarts throughout the below
- Numerous cache clears throughout the below
- Uninstall/reinstall Jagex Launcher
- Uninstall/reinstall RS both via Jagex Launcher, and via website download
- All combinations of admin permission on/off for both launchers
- Uninstall/reinstall Java
I've also searched forums/other platforms, and can't find anyone experiencing the same issue.
Any possible solutions or insight would be greatly welcomed.
Any solutions to this? I'm having the exact same issue. No issues with client before merging. Desktop has issues logging into RS3 but not OSRS. Laptop works fine for both clients. Mobile works fine and Steam works.
Jagex Launcher - Install RS3 client from launcher and I get the RS3 client to crash instantly at load. Installed RS3 client directly from the website and the Jagex Launcher won't recognize as the client being installed. I set the RS3 client that was installed by the launcher to run as admin and it loads fine up until I hit the clients traditional login and it makes me login again but obviously the original login details no longer work.
