Jagex Launcher Crash on Mac M1

I have both a Windows and a Macbook laptop, and I recently switched to the jagex launcher. Although it works fine on windows, when I installed the launcher on my Macbook M1 this morning I couldn't start the game through RuneLite. I keep getting the error "Process returned unknown error code", and the launcher says it needs to close.

Anyone know how to fix this? I found others had similar issues and tried the fix where you download the older Java version, but no dice.

Also, does anyone know if its possible to still run the standalone Runelite client after switching to a Jagex launcher? I can't log in via the normal Runelite client anymore.

uninstall Runelite and download it again and make sure u download the correct version. Had the same issue and this solved it for me.
