iOS apps - no sound

All of my apple devices do not have any sound while playing. I have an iPad and iPhone with the app installed but I can not get the music or interactions to make any sound. My friend who also has the apps has all music and game sounds. I have tried reinstalling the apps and have looked through all settings. What else can I try? I can't help but wonder if this is linked to my account rather than an app-only issue.

Are by accident your sound reduced to '0' or is that little switch at the side of your device switched to off? Switch which kill all sounds.

No, and I thought that might be it too. . I went through every setting l could. I work in the information technology field and I can notfigure this one out. I’m baffled
