Every time the world hop is used or any session based locations (clan citadel), the game logs out and tells me game session has ended when trying to log back in. I have to close and reopen the client to get into the game. Cache has been cleared and the client has been reinstalled… not sure what else to do. Read a possible vpn to keep my ip “static” would work, anyone have any good input on this? Thanks in advance! Sheeeeesh

Hmm this is a puzzling one

Are you on the Jagex or Steam clients? If not maybe switch to those to see if it persists.

Otherwise, try working through the troubleshooting steps from this page: Common Connection Solutions! & if all else fails, you can submit a ticket if needed.

I do find it interesting that closing & re-opening the client seems to fix it, though.

That's a fairly common issue in RS3 whenever someone is experiencing connection problems to one or more world servers. It became a big issue on OSRS a few years ago causing people's accounts to be locked when they hopped worlds but I believe that eventually got resolved.

VPNs help if you're trying to access a world server that you absolutely have a bad connection to. And this is common whenever people try to switch to shared worlds like Citadel. A VPN will definitely let you into the Citadel if you're having trouble connecting to it.

For other worlds in general, I'd suggest trying out something like Wtfast or ExitLag to see if that makes a difference at preventing your connection from dropping. But before you spend any money on programs like this, the first thing I'd do would to unplug your modem and router and also restart your PC. Usually that gives you a fresh new connection.

And as Apazos mentioned, I'd try out if the Steam client if you're not already using it.

I get this message just trying to log in, every single time. I can't use the client and can't switch worlds with the beta launcher which is what I'm forced to use just to play at all. I can't do the citadel because that involves changing worlds. Is there any help for this at all?
