No interface in guthix cache

The interface which shows the timer, your score abilities, etc, did not show up while I was in the guthixian cache. Obviously makes it a lot more of a hassle to do the cache, so any advice as to how to get it to show up before the next cache would be much appreciated.
(using new player layout - switched to default yesterday but it's switched itself back - if that has any relevance)

All I can offer is how to change back to the different layout.
Escape - Settings - Gameplay - Additional Options - Legacy Interface Mode [x] Bob says:
