Hello, I've noticed something interesting relating RS 3 Lobby.
Running 1080ti, R5 2600x, and 16GB ram.
If you uncap fps or set the cap above 200 / 300, and you go into your lobby, the game tries to run the gpu and cpu at utter maximum and beyond, similar to the amazon game that killed GPU's by doing something similar, and starts creating a LOUD coilwhine.
It will ONLY happen in lobby, so I was wondering, if there's a minor coding issue, is there some kind of power draw calibration issue, or gpu utilisation issue in the lobby.
Regardless, you can stop it by turning V-sync on, or manually capping the background FPS to 60/100 (the background fps cap seems to have a bigger effect on stopping the coilwhine).
Once you're in game, the coil whine will stop even if you have everything uncapped, it's literally just the lobby that causes the issue, indicating that the root cause is in the lobby screen.
Now as a person, that enjoys playing games with uncapped FPS, and as the game has no issues with it once you're IN game, should I still be worried? Considering it sounds like my GPU capacitors are crying for mercy whenever the game goes into Lobby? And does it have a similar chance of burning out / killing my gpu if left like that for too long?
Edit: Just to clarify, this happens ONLY in RS 3 Lobby screen, NOWHERE else, and no other game shows this behaviour.
