Help installing Jagex Launcher

When I try to install the Jagex Launcher, I get the message:

"The version of Internet Explorer on this machine is not supported. Please upgrade and try again."

However if I go to try to upgrade/install a newer version (internet explorer 11), I arrive at a page that says it retired June 15 2022, and will no longer be accessible after February 14 2023.

I don't understand why I would even need Internet explorer as i already have the jagex launcher installer downloaded. But as it stands i can't seem to install the new jagex launcher because it requires outdated obsolete software.
