its every other second i lag on a high end gaming laptop, how come?? i tried uninstalling the jagex launcher (yes i know its in beta) and reinstalling it, still lags though i tried the graphics settings and everything, my pc and gpu is up to date as well, here are my specs.

cpu: ryzen 9 5900hs
ram: 16gb
gpu: rtx 3070

i dont know if this helps but i have my laptop hooked up to an external display too.

Hi I am also getting this lag issue. If you open your task manager by hitting ctrl+alt+delete you can watch the cpu usage hit 100% when this lag occurs.
The fix that worked for me is running the game in compatibility mode. The downside is you can't do end game pvm or use Alt1 while in compatibility mode.

When you first open the game click on the cog in the bottom left to open a window, then in graphics mode select " compatibility mode' . Then close the game and open it again.

Hopefully this can make at least some of the game playable for you until Jagex fixes the issue.
