Steam launcher not working

When I launch the game through steam, the loading bar goes through very fast and then nothing happens, as in the launcher doesn't appear.

This 1st occurred when I was trying to fix ingame freezes. I was launching the game (the bar was loading), but decided to alt+f4 or use task manager (can't remember) to try a different solution. Ever since it hasn't worked.

Tried checking integrity of local files, uninstall and reinstall, deleting local files and then reinstalling, etc...
