If Jagex had even the slightest concern there would be issues of people losing their characters because of something on their end, this new system would not be out yet for any player to use.
On Jagex's end, everything is set and working as intended....I've heard of accounts having issues, but every single incident of someone losing an account has been entirely on the user's end. Either an insecure account being hijacked and imported to someone else's character, account sharing mishaps, or not following basic account security protocols and losing access to their authentication devices/backup codes and getting locked out.
Jagex has provided us everything, we have the responsibility to maintain our account access and security....just like we had to do before Jagex Accounts were a thing.
Keep your new login credentials secure, keep your email secure, and keep your authenticator/backup codes secure...and no matter where you log in at, your account will be fine.
Can I turn in a paper without citing all sources?
