This Tuesday, alll game worlds will be taken offline for planned maintenance. We expect the work to last 2.5hours, but we'll bring the worlds back up earlier if work finishes sooner."

Does anyone know if this maintenance time was planned before these client issues? Hopefully it addresses the issues we're having.

Apparently steam client works fine, however my friend was recently hacked from steam as they got into her steam account, from there, got all of her game passwords.

So i'm not trusting the steam client version.

Jagex should fix this right now, nevermind "as quickly as we can".

Their teams should be fully prepared for every possible error there can be, not just for their own self preservation but for their paying customers.

This is only affecting their "Launcher users" which apparently is still in beta? Well done Jagex.

Get it sorted.

Apparently some users have had this happening for a few days now, according to google search results. I logged on fine at around 7:30am this morning but had to go log out to tend to some RL things shortly after 8am. I was home by around 9:30 and that was when i first encountered it.

So not only is it seemingly utterly random in who gets it and who doesnt, but there is literaly no logic behind it. Why could i log in early this morning, but not less than 2 hours later? My computer didnt sneak in any updates, nothing happened. The launcher just ceased working all of its own accord. How is that even a thing?

I dont understand how they tested this to be able to mark it as "resolved" and yet have the issue persisting unchanged. Unless this is a completely separate issue, which they are yet to even acknowledge. Seems like a pretty big deal.

I have found a way to play, since I am unable to use the offical jagex client and have been using runelite, i can log in directly into that to play. Not ideal. I'd rather go full official, or at least runelite via the launcher but currently every single "official" jagex option is broken and non functional I am in Perth and it is 6pm on Tuesday so another 3 hours on from your time and still cannot get on the game . It tries to load very very slowly then nothing .

Currently dealing with this issue. I was able to play earlier today but then I logged off and tried to log back on and this error popped up.

I tried to uninstall it (twice) and cleared my DNS and nothing is working. Guess I'll just wait and see if it fixes itself.

EDIT:
Down Detector has a massive spike in reports this hour of people not being able to log on. I assume this is a RuneScape-wide issue. This is at 8 am EST.
