I went over and looked at those links; and it seems setting up the authenticator requires a "mobile" device. I do not have a cell phone and cannot get it out here where I live. The only phone I have is a land line and the only computer I use is a desktop. So it seems I cannot set up an authenticator. :( Have I missed something?

I do not doubt that you have a 'land line' nor will I doubt that you have a 'desktop' but if you do will keep up with RuneScape/OldSchool RuneScape I do know that you have more to make it run smoothly.

Since you have already upgraded to a Jagex account, I recommend that you take a look at this Support article:

. You'll be able to get security codes by email if you so desire without having access to a mobile phone.
