So ever since the launcher came out i always have to delete it and reinstall it to log in. I think i accidentally, deleted more than the runescape in my program files because now it is not working. it says Error "unfortunately runescape could not be started. Please try uninstalling and reinstalling it using the button in the jagex launcher. If this problem continues contact jagex support. the jagex tried to run the game from C:\program files\jagex\runescape launcher\



I never had issues with the client but this jagex launcher has been getting me frustrated and playing less. Can i go back to the client? yoo i like beer!

You full on delete it? The issue I experience with it often forces me to go to task manager to close it there so it'll actually open and be accessible instead of disappearing after a few seconds or giving me an error message. I tried to uninstall it once and got prompted to run a program repair, which found no issues.

Properly uninstalling programs rather than deleting the files is generally safer. Maybe run something to repair registry errors in case that's what you broke. You should probably check your recycling bin to restore deleted files to undo whatever problem you caused and get the whole thing reinstalled properly.

You probably haven't done this yet but creating system restore points can be handy in case you run into a problem best fixed by going back to a prior state. How to block a forum user
