*EDIT* Problem Fixed. I thought the 'Jagex Launcher' meant the Official Runescape Client I downloaded. Not the actual Jagex Launcher Beta. Thanks!



I've emailed Jagex about this multiple times already, but the only response I get is from a robot.

Ive been locked out of logging in for the entire day now, saying that there have been too many attempts from my address, and I should wait 5 minutes.

This seems to happen every day for a few hours, but today it has been almost all day.

Usually I just have to wait 30 mins to an hour and it will eventually let me sign in.

I'm trying to sign in from the Runescape launcher. I do not want to link my steam account to Runescape as my entire family shares the steam account.

Is there any way to fix this? If not, Can I get a refund on my year long membership I just bought, considering I am barely able to play when I want to?

I just came back after a very long break. And wasn't expecting it to be this terrible of an experience.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help me get by this ridiculous sign in problem.

Hi Layla Pups,

Are you still having this issue occur when you're using the Jagex Launcher? The Launcher should be a fine workaround for the issue you're experiencing.

If you were to link your Steam, I'd suggest simply creating a new Steam account so you're not sharing it with anyone. Ensure you take the proper steps to secure it and have Steam Guard enabled too if you do.

I have only ever used the official Jagex Runescape launcher. Still have this problem every single day since I subbed a few weeks ago.

Let me correct myself. I had no idea there was a 'Jagex' launcher that launches runescape. I just figured it out now.

I always thought people meant the official Runescape client I downloaded when they referred me to the Jagex launcher.

You have fixed my problem I think. I'll just launch from the new Jagex launcher Beta I downloaded. Thank you!
