I am trying to get RS3 running on Steam Deck.
I have tried using the RS3 launcher straight from the steam store, launched from big picture mode, and the version from the Discovery store. I have also tried running under different proton versions. I always get the same problem.
The game runs fine for a while, then it just freezes up. The background sounds and music continue playing, the mouse cursor moves, but visually the game is completely locked up. There are no error messages. Even if I leave the game running in this frozen state, I don't get any error message.
I'm not very familiar with Linux except for a little dabbling. I looked it up and Steam OS is based on Debian 8.
Based on the fact that it runs fine without any glitches or errors, and just freezes, I believe this is most likely a connection issue, maybe a memory issue.
I was hoping maybe somebody here could help me out with some ideas on how to get this running more reliably. It is VERY playable on the Steam Deck, except for this one issue.
