I can't seem to open OSRS using the official client through the Jagex launcher. It was working yesterday and earlier today. A few hours ago, the client crashed and ever since if I hit play in the Jagex launcher it doesn't open the official client.
I have tried the following:
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the OSRS official client multiple times (through the uninstall button in the launcher).
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the Jagex launcher multiple times.
- Restarted my computer multiple times.
- Shutdown my computer multiple times.
- I can open OSRS Runelite client through the Jagex Launcher without issue but not the official client. I can also open the non oldschool runescape version of the official client through the Jagex Launcher without issue. The problem is specific to the Old School Runescape official client being opened through Jagex Launcher.
When I hit play, I believe it is opening "something" in the background. I can see the OSRS client show up under "background" in task manager but no actual window opens up. I can get the OSRS official client to open when I download it directly and open it from my desktop and not through the Jagex Launcher, however, I can no longer log in because I "upgraded" my account to a Jagex account and it only allows you to log in that way using account log in which no longer applies to me.
I've spent hours researching and trying to fix it myself but nothing is working. Any help would be appreciated.
