I recently went to world hop...and got logged out instead.

Then on the first attempt to log back in I got the 'Too many log in attempts' message - and
I'm unable to log back in.

I tried closing Runelite...and then logging in with the Jagex Launcher - and this also
gives me the same issue.

What is this ridiculous rubbish?

Simply try to not hop too much in short periods!

said; This is a known error message commonly associated with periods of high traffic that may prevent users from logging in.

For the most part, simply waiting a while will resolve the issue. Repeated attempts to log in can make the situation worse, so Jagex highly recommend waiting at least 30 minutes between attempts if you receive this error.

If you keep receiving the same error message when trying to login I’d advise you to head over to this support faq; Too many attempts from your address (click me) this will open a new window). Ooh, shiny things!

Above users have answered this question for you. Hopping too many times sometimes can trigger this system. It similar to typing in the wrong Password too many times.

Has nothing to do with it in my case. I walk away, game logs out, come back, still in lobby but when I try to go to a world I get the "too many log in attempts from this address" just mine, not my husband's account.
