I now been unable to log in for 2 days, receiving the 'Too many login attempts from your address'. How can this happen on a service that I pay money for? What exactly is 'too many attempts'? Are there restrictions as to how many times I can access a game I pay good money for? Please tell me what exactly are those limits?
The suggestion from Jagex that it is due to high access/playing levels is nonsense. I have tried to unsuccessfully log in throughout the day and night , having played daily for weeks previously without a problem. I am close to achieving some hard worked for targets; it is so frustrating to be denied access.
What is the real reason for being denied something I pay for? Why are players not told the truth?
I have had this experience episodically before ( been playing for 20+ years ) and I know through experience it resolves itself somehow, eventually. However, Jagex's explanations are shoddy and inadequate and its suggestions for remedy equally so. Attempting to log in by both Steam and Google simply invites me to create a new player. But why the need for workarounds?
It seems a real problem for many players; why is there not greater representation in these Forums? Why should players have to explore workarounds?
I am old and currently unwell and Runescape is an important part of my day which is currently denied me without good reason.
