but if the email were changed. how do I still acn login to my account wtioh my email and my password?
A hijacker would set Authenticator to delay the account owner from being able to log back in.
There are only two possible methods to change the registered email:
1. with access to the current registered email
2. through account recovery and proving that they created the account.
If you are completely certain that your email has not been accessed, the only other possibility is that the hijacker was able to prove that
they
created the account through recovery.
This might happen if the account was shared in its early days or if it was bought or given to you.
The only way you can change the registered email back to yours now is by doing a 'recovery' on the account.
To start a recovery, go to the
Change registered email
support page and follow the instructions under
"If you don't have access to the registered email"
.
Until you get the registered email set back to your own, you don't have full management control of the account, even though you can log in and are lucky enough to have the Launcher installed.
