Hello,

I am writing to request a reconsideration of my previous ban on 17th July 2022. I understand that I was banned for allegedly botting, but I want to clarify that I was not responsible for any botting activities.

When the ban occurred, I was away on a vacation and had no access to my account. Upon my return, I discovered that my account had been hacked and used for botting purposes. I understand that my account may have exhibited behavior consistent with botting, but I assure you that it was not me who was controlling it at the time.

I had initially appealed my ban after my vacation, but it was denied. This led to me quitting Runescape altogether. However, I have since reconsidered my decision and wish to resume playing the game. I am willing to provide any evidence necessary to support my claim and prove that I was not responsible for the botting activities that led to my ban.

I take the rules and regulations of the game seriously and would never engage in any form of cheating/botting/RWT and etc. I understand the negative impact that botting can have on the game's community and I assure you that I have no intention of contributing to such activities.

I would like to request that my ban be lifted so that I can continue playing the game. I am deeply sorry for my account security (no 2fa) and I am committed to fix this issue - all I ask is for a CHANCE.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my appeal.

Hey, OnlyXXmobile.

The only way a macroing and/or use of bots ban is removed off of the account is if there is conclusive evidence that a third-party, i.e., a hijacker, was in control of the account at the time of occurrence OR if it was placed erroneously. This is checked before, during and after the ban is applied, specially again if you appeal the ban. If the ban appeal is denied, then, I am afraid that this is the end of the road for the account in question.

See Banned Account [Info] and Appeal an offence for further details regarding your concern.

Hi there
OnlyXXmobile
,

Unfortunately the forums are not the place to be requesting second chances. The only way to appeal your ban is by going through the Appeal an offence Support page, which you say that you have already done. In terms of providing evidence, Jagex bases their decisions of the evidence that they have gathered against your account. If they deem this to be enough evidence of your offence, then they will proceed with the ban as per the rules of the game.

I'm sorry to say but if your appeal has been denied, then that is the end of the road for your account. Being hacked is unfortunate, however ultimately you are the creator and owner of the account meaning that you are responsible for any action that is taken on it. In the future, if you do return, please have a look through the Security Support page for information on how to secure your device and account.

Hope this helps.

If Jagex/JMods have detected that said botting happened from your home than it is hard to counter such evidence.
If Jagex/JMods have found evidence that your account had been hacked/hijacked and botted from a different location than your home, than that is obvious to Jagex/JMods being something that happened out of your control.
However there are more variables that result into a ban/permanent ban.

The problem is, that j-mods does mistakes also, when making a decision and not taking all of the things in consideration, the bigger problem is that a player can't appeal again a denied appeal even though I know for a fact that I didn't do anything wrong. :|

When a ban appeal is checked, the account is being checked for the third time. The second check is to pick up any possible mistakes the first checking JMod might have made. The third check is to pick up any possible mistakes made by the first two JMods.
Yes, JMods make mistakes but, after the third check, they are pretty confident that they have made the correct decision.

One thing they are really looking for in a macroing ban appeal is evidence of hijacker activity on the account at the time of the offence. If the appeal is denied, it means there is no evidence of hijacker activity.
No evidence of hijacker activity doesn't necessarily mean there was no hijacker activity, it just means hijacker activity couldn't be found.
This could mean that your account was being used by someone close by...a friend or housemate.

JMods aren't infallible but the account being used by someone close by makes it impossible for them to assume that you weren't involved. You might have let someone use your account while you were away. :P Original message details are unavailable.
The problem is, that j-mods does mistakes also, when making a decision and not taking all of the things in consideration,
"Taking all things into consideration" is a phrase which sounds like it should be important in a ban appeal. However it is impossible to judge "Taking all things into consideration" .
JMods judge on the digital record of account activity i.e. hard facts of what happened.

As your fellow players have stated above, Jagex will have checked for evidence of the account being hijacked during the appeal process.

Give you have already appealed this ban last year and Jagex denied it, there is no additional support that can be provided via the forums at this time.

You are welcome to continue to play the game, however, it will need to be done on a different account that has not been used to break the game rules.
