I first had this issue at least 6 months ago. I linked my RS account to my Steam account. During that process, somehow an account I didn't make got connected to my email in addition to my account. Now when I try to login using my email, it defaults to that account. I used password recovery on that account to try and figure things out only to find that that account is banned. It is not my account. I did not create it. It somehow got linked to my email. I want that changed. I have tried multiple times to get in contact with customer support but I have not been able to talk to an actual person. This problem has gone on for months now and it is pissing me off so much. I just need to talk to an actual person so that I can explain things to them in detail and hopefully find a way to fix this. But I can't seem to get in touch with anyone.

And now, for whatever reason, I'm having trouble claiming treasure hunter rewards. I try to claim it but it says I can't because I don't have enough room in my inventory or bank for it. Except I do have room in both my inventory and bank.

Have you followed the Support page instructions to unlink third party accounts? Unlink third party account .

From what I understand, it sounds like you need to change the registered email on your account rather than the one that was supposedly made by someone other than you, as you will not be able to recover that account without the creation details (as you were not the creator). Unfortunately I do believe that this means that you will be unable to use the email that you would like to use for your account, and create a new one that is unique from the one that is linked to both accounts. As for this, are you certain that your bank is not full? I see that you are not a member, so if you were a member before and this expired recently, then your bank space will have reduced.

If you are confident that you have bank space available and you don't have a full inventory, you can file an in-game bug report detailing your experience. The instructions for reporting a bug can be found on the Report a bug Support page.

, if you use a free email provider, it is not unknown to create an email address that has been used by someone else before you then allowed to become inactive.
And, it is not unknown to discover that the previous owner of the email used it to create a RuneScape account!

If you are logging in with your email and being taken to this unknown banned account, it means your account does not have that email as its login. It must have another login.
You can retrieve a forgotten login by using the tools on the Forgotten login support page.

Logins are permanent. If your email is the login for the banned account, the only way to get the login removed is to apply to disable/delete the account.
The place to start that is the Delete your personal data support page.
However, you won't be able to delete the account because you can't prove the account is yours. :(

My bank is not full. I just checked it and it has 6 free spaces left. My inventory has 24 free spaces. But I am still getting the message that my bank and inventory are full and that I need at least 2 free spaces to collect the item. And now I cant even use treasure hunter keys because its locked on this bs message and won't let me open any more chests. Which means I'm missing out on even more things than I have already missed. And I just know that I won't receive any sort of compensation for my problems because support will find some way to weasel out of it and say its not their problem. Which is bs, because it is completely their problem. So until this is fixed, I'm just gonna keep missing daily treasure hunter things.

Since I now have control over this other account, I have started the process to get that account deleted so I can return to logging in to my account using my email. I would also like to mention that at the time this issue first appeared, I took immediate action and contacted support because I had also apparently been hacked. I lost approximately 318m gp (all the gp I had on my account) as well as all of my runes (I do not know the exact numbers of these, I just know it was a lot, probably at lest several hundred of each f2p rune though for most it was several thousand). When I was finally able to get in touch with support, they told me they could not return any of the items I lost as they could not find that I ever had them to begin with on their records. I do not know what kind of bs that was about, but it pissed me off and made me lose almost all my trust in the support center. I have since been lucky as others in-game who I told my problem to gave me over 200m gp to help me recover. It does not cover everything I lost, but its a start, and I have since gotten over 300m gp again. I am still very angry about the seeming complete lack of sympathy from the support center and I am assuming I might get a similar response to this current issue.

Those accounts you are talking about were already linked together before you linked one of them to Steam.
Steam isn't just randomly picking accounts together for the sake of connecting them to Steam.
If you wanna link 1 account to Steam you are able to do that without other accounts dragged into that same process.
