email address. Just note that this is a
no-reply
email address and if there is something to investigate, they will do so; however, you will not get a response back and those items are not going to be returned to you. They will take care of the hijacker, though.
So pretty much there's nothing that can be done. Just upgrade my security eventho I had a bank pin. This is really unfair as I'm just a casual gamer so gather all that money took me many years and I've even been paying my membership for over a year or 2 yet only played once every few months but thought hey runescape deserves it for all their hard work. This really isn't fair as whoever managed to hack it will keep going under different ip addresses and account and it makes regular gamers want to quit and never play again if this is all the help Jagex can come up with.
All the help that we may need from Jagex is by providing us with the best security options possible, specially with the new
Jagex Account
system and the suggestions enumerated in the
Security tips
Support article. It's up to each individual to take care of their accounts and its security. Jagex -- nor anyone else, for that matter -- cannot control how you browse the Internet. It's up to you to employ the best Internet browsing routine to stay out of trouble.
The best example that I can use is the email address that you shared above. Sharing your login email address may jeopardize the security of your account. That's why I suggested for you to edit it out so that nobody else could see it. Jagex can't control you sharing your personal details or not. It's up to you to keep that out of the hands of hijackers.

@Crixus_01, Mrs Ana asked you to remove your personal data to prevent further future issues/hacks/hijacks ... yet ... you refuse to do so, so again please remove your personal data from your opening post.

Jagex/JMods do not ask you to do something for them. That sounded so weird that alarmbells were ringing to me. A 'client update' never requires passwords reset requests of any kind so you 'have been tricked' in changing your password and those who tricked you weren't Jagex/JMods.

Sorry to hear about your account. However, as others mentioned above, there are a few resources available to you in regards to recovering your account. Check out those pages, as they should prove to be helpful.
Your initial post has been hidden as it was providing personal information. While there was no ill intent, remember that these forums are public and everyone can see sensitive info such as emails. It's best to not post such info on the forums for your own safety.
As a courtesy, I have quoted your above post without the email and posted your initial post below.
I'm writing this post with a heavy heart as I recently encountered a devastating incident with my account. Yesterday, I updated my client for Jagex and experienced a password reset issue. After resetting my password, I proceeded to play the game for a while without any issues.
However, when I logged in this morning, I was shocked to find my account at the Varrock Grand Exchange with a significant loss of wealth. I had placed an order on the Prifddinas Grand Exchange for a Wyvern Crossbow and bolts before going to bed, but upon waking up, I discovered that most of my valuable items were gone, and my coins were reduced from 700 million to 40 million overnight.
I want to clarify that I had an active bank pin, and I am puzzled about how the perpetrator managed to access my account despite that added layer of security.
At this point, I'm at a loss for what to do, and I desperately seek the community's and Jagex's assistance in recovering my account and the lost items. Among the valuables that were taken is a Golden Party Hat, which holds great sentimental value to me.
I humbly request that Jagex support investigate this matter and take appropriate actions to restore my account's status to a state before this incident. I'm willing to cooperate fully with any verification processes to prove my ownership of the account.
Additionally, if possible, I would appreciate it if Jagex could revert my account state even as far back as a month, as I'm only an occasional player and would gladly accept a rollback if it means recovering my precious items.
Please, if anyone has any advice or has faced a similar situation, I implore you to share your experiences or any steps that might help me in recovering my account.
Thank you for your attention and assistance during this distressing time. I look forward to any guidance or support the community and Jagex can provide.
