Hello - I found out a few months ago that somebody was using my account via a ban for macroing over a period of time I was not playing the game. I appealed the ban and it was accepted - but in the interim I made a new account. I decided to check the old account again and was happy to see my appeal was accepted! Unfortunately when I went to log in - I was met with an error saying "Either your account is still logged in or the world you are trying to join no longer exists".

I have changed passwords, set up authenticator and ended active sessions. Additionally, I have full access of the website side of things but cannot log into the game client - that is when I receive the message. Could anybody please offer any assistance as I have tried everything that has been posted about this subject?

Hey, Shumpmaster.

May you please try resetting your password? Please note that resetting your password is NOT the same as changing your password, which is what you have already done. Head to Reset password and click on the
RESET PASSWORD
button (NOT the CHANGE PASSWORD one). This will kick anyone that may be logged into the account and that's what you are aiming for .

Once you have done that, it wouldn't hurt to follow the tips, instructions and suggestions enumerated in the Security tips Support article to increase the overall security settings of your device (computer/mobile); your registered email address; and your RuneScape account.
