Can't log in via RuneLite

Just upgraded to a Jagex Account. Now when I try to log in to either of my accounts using RuneLite (I am accessing RuneLite via the Jagex Launcher) I constantly get a 'invalid credentials' message and it tells me I 'may need to use the official launcher', which I am.

When using the official client it's a one click sign in, no information needed. When I select RuneLite, it asks to enter my email/username and password. I've tried using my character log in information (like I used to), and tried entering my Jagex Account login information and neither works.

What is going on here? Am I missing something?

Any client launched from the Jagex Launcher should be providing you with the one-click login button. This includes RuneLite.

It may be worth uninstalling RuneLite and letting the Jagex Launcher install it to see if the launcher installed version behaves differently.

Per a friend, this is apparently because you had previously set RuneLite to always run as administrator. When launching from the Jagex Launcher, this causes issues.

The fix would be to find your RuneLite installation and check if you have it set in Windows to run as administrator. This should be in the properties of the application (and potentially the properties of the shortcut). If you do, uncheck this, and then try launching RuneLite from the Jagex Launcher again.

Hi Inferno11114.

As AJ suggested, make sure Runelite is not set to "run as administrator", and also check you have an up to date version of Runelite installed. If you have an old version, it may not have the hooks required for the Launcher to pass in the account credentials.
