Dear Community,

On my other account my main i lost the registered email and the phone where the authenticator was registered on, which means i cannot log in anymore. I tried to contact microsoft to reactivate the registered email (so i can click the email to disable authenticator) but they deny/ wont cooperate (e mail got removed because of 1 year inactivity i think).

So now i cant disable the authenticator but I do know my log in details. When i do recovery questions i get instant denied because Jagex staff might think i dont know the password, i do know the password but i dont have acces to the authenticator, so please remove the authenticator so i can play on my main again. Is that a poissibility ?

Greetings,

Try Pk Matee

Hi there
Try Pk Mate
,

Unfortunately requesting the Forums to remove the Authenticator won't get you very far, but I will do my best to provide you with useful information so that you can gain control of your account once again.

It sounds like you are going through the right methods, that you need to submit a recovery request for your account. When submitting a recovery request, this means that you must provide information that validates you as the creator of the account. Therefore, you must provide the earliest information that you can, not the existing information. This may include:

- The earliest passwords that you can remember.
- The earliest transaction that you can recall or have records of.
- The IP address and location that the account was created.
- Any information regarding the earliest registered email addresses.
- Providing the answers to any recovery questions that the account may have had.

The fact that your information is being denied instantly means that you are not providing fundamental information that proves you as the creator, and is failing the automated checking process before it is manually checked by a Jagex Moderator.

I would highly suggest looking back at the records that you have, and try providing the earliest information you can.

Hi, Try Pk Mate.

The Authenticator may ONLY be removed by the player with access to the registered email address on the account. This means that Jagex or anyone else for that matter is unable to simply it "remove it". If you don't have access to the registered email address to the account, then you have two options:

1) Try to recover the registered email address on the account. Considering the fact that you are unable to do so, as you stated in your post, then this option doesn't apply to you.
2) Try to recover the RuneScape account by sending in an an account recovery request , which in turn allows you to select a new registered email address during the process. It's highly recommended to utilize a GMail account as those have shown to give players the least amount of headaches.

You may read the Account recovery denied Support page for further assistance. When an account recovery request is denied, an email is sent with some details as to why it was denied and some suggestions on how to improve your chances on your next attempt. You should give that a read as well.
