So I made a new OSRS account after not playing for 10 years. I didn't have any security factors enabled when I fell for a giveaway scam, right after I realised my bank was gone I immediately did everything I could, 2FA, backup codes, authenticator, and bank pin, but this person still has access and is cancelling my pin before it can set.

I have ran security scans on my (only) device that I play on and got rid of some malicious files it found, but they still have access. I unlinked third party accounts that were linked to my jagex, changed all passwords to my emails and other accounts then relinked them to my jagex. The only thing I can think of is to see if my emails are being forwarded to someone else, but I can't find those settings anywhere.

And as said above, I only have one device that I can use, therefore I'm posting this from said device.

Does anyone have any advice? Something I might have missed? I really don't want to scrap this account, it will kill my desire to play again.

You should upgrade to a Jagex Account . Jagex Account allow for better passwords because they are case-sensitive and symbols may be used; the Jagex Launcher ( which is needed to use Jagex Accounts ) is protected against brute-force attacks; email notifications are sent to you every time there is a new device login and when account changes are made; 2-Step Verification (authenticator app or email or both) is mandatory; and they have improved recovery, meaning, if you lose access to either of the 2-Step Verification methods OR both, you are allowed to use the Backup Codes to log in.

When upgrading to a Jagex Account, you will be required to select an email address and password. It doesn't have to be the same email address that you use right now if your account was created after November 2010. I'd recommend that you utilize a brand Google Mail (GMail) account as those have proven to cause the least amount of headaches for RuneScape players.
