oldschool runescape, it became a game without any security, we hardly see moderators anymore, we see people losing their items out of nowhere, without any response, first of all I want to tell you about myself, my pc is formatted and there is no program besides runelite , I don't click on external links and my password is new and not shared, yet after buying 200 in bonds, the second day after I got robbed, and I probably won't get my items back, what else we see in the game are botters and hackers, totally outlaw, att a former good player.

a game without any security Jagex have plenty of options available to secure your account.

Do you have Authenticator set up on your account? If so, did the hijacker disable it, or was it still active and accepting your codes?

If the hijacker disabled it, then they have access to your email account, so make sure you secure that.

If Authenticator was still active, then they either phished the login info from you, have a keylogger/RAT on your PC, or they have access to a linked social media account that they can use to log in (Apple, Steam, Facebook or Google).
