I recently recovered my account now known as 'Count Up' after being inactive from OSRS for quite some time. I login to find out I've been permanently banned. I've never had any offenses on my account besides one in the past that's now expired. I don't know what to do, please help.
Most likely your account was hacked and used for some purpose such as macroing, which has led to your account being permanently banned. I would first suggest securing your device by running a malware check on your computer, and following the security links listed on the
Security
Support page. This will provide a good guide on methods to securing your device and your account.
Once this has been done and you are certain that your computer is clear of any third-party software that may be stealing your information, you should look into checking what type of ban is imposed on your account. Depending on the offence, you may be able to appeal the ban. Have a look the through the
Appeal an offence
Support page. If the offence is one of those that are listed as unappealable, then unfortunately that is the end of the road for this account.
If your ban is appealable, then appeal the ban, and Jagex will conduct a review on it, at which point you will receive a response on the status in a matter of hours to days.
Without knowing what offence the account was banned for, we cannot advise you in any more detail.
Muzan-sama covered everything.
- If the offence is appealable, appeal it.
- If it is not appealable, I am sorry but you won't be able to get it investigated again.
- If it is an appealable offence but the appeal has been used already without success, you might get an opportunity to play the account again one day in the future when Jagex decide to remove the ban due to the passing of time.
