I was trying to upgrade to premier membership but it's completely impossible to buy.
I dont understand how a company that makes its money selling a product/service and also totally refusing to accept payment for said product/service can stay in business but Jagex seems to be able to.
There might be a couple of reasons why you can't buy Premier Membership:
1. your current membership is paid through an app instead of directly through the website? Yes, it matters as app paid membership will prevent you from upgrading to a website paid membership.
2. you have an excess of already paid for membership sitting on your account?
How to fix these:
Point 1:
Let the app paid membership run out completely. You will be able to buy membership through the website after your account has returned to F2p.
Point 2:
If you have another account, you can message Billing Support and get them to transfer some of the excess membership across. This reduces the amount of advance membership sitting on your account and will enable you to buy Premier. The contact point to do this is on the
Transfer purchase
support page.
"I dont understand how a company that makes its money selling a product/service and also totally refusing to accept payment for said product/service can stay in business but Jagex seems to be able to."
Point: 1 is completely outside Jagex' control.
Point: 2 Jagex sets an outside limit on the amount of advance membership a player can add to their account. The choice to add so much advance membership to their account is made by the player, not by Jagex.
