Dear Jagex,

Before you close my thread please hear me out. I recently received a perma mute on my other account (make bh f2p) and I really don't know what to do except just beg for a second chance here as my appeal instantly got declined. I have been playing the game for less than a month and I have grown to love this game but one bad day has cost my account a perma mute. I realize no one wants to hear me use a sob story as an excuse but I was truly having a really, really bad week (got laid off at a place I worked at for the last 4 years and found out one of my family members is struggling with their health) outside of this game and I let that get to me which caused me to take my anger out on other players during LMS games on other players when I shouldn't have. I am not shifting blame on anything else and I know nothing can justify or excuse trash talking other players with vulgar terms as this game is meant to be a safe environment for all and I fully accept responsibility for my actions. However, I am still begging for a second chance as I have only been playing for next than a month and I have zero infractions prior to this mute. This was my first offense ever on this game and if I could go back in time and take back what I did I would in a heartbeat. All I am asking for is one person at Jagex to sympathize with me and consider lowering the severity of my punishment. It would really suck if I just can't talk for the rest of the time playing the game I love due to one mistake I made. I promise if you do deserve to give me a second chance I will not disappoint you as I have learned a valuable lesson.

I understand it's not protocol for players to try to reach mods here but I really don't see any other options. All I am hoping for is one mod sees this and actually understands where I am coming from and sympathize with my situation.

I am not asking for a complete reversion on my account's mute station or infractions; I am just hoping they would consider maybe lowering the severity of the account's punishment. Like I would gladly accept a half a year mute or even a year mute or even a month ban at this point. Anything is better than a permanent mute. This is legitimately my first offense ever on this game it would really, really suck if I just can't talk ever after this.

I am not denying that I shouldn't be punished nor am I saying I deserve special treatment. But I have shown several different community mods and they all agree with me that what I have said do not deserve a permanent mute on first offense.

I mean this is almost equivalent to being banned from driving for getting your first speeding ticket ever.

I also want to reiterate the fact that this is a first offense EVER and I have been playing this game for literally a month. I had no idea that a first infraction could instantly be resulted in a perma mute. This by no means imply that I said it on purpose with the expectation of getting away with the punishment. However, I do believe what I have said deserves a perpetual chat silence.

Again, I also want to re-emphasize that I am not asking for a complete reversion of my punishment, but rather a less severe one. I would gladly take a year chat ban or a month suspension over getting chat banned forever on a first offense.

To be honest ... all players whom receive a permanent ban/-mute always have a second chance and more by creating a new account and leave from there with a new offence-free future.

Permanent bans/mutes are issued by specialists at Jagex whom have a great experience in dealing with offences and deal with these offences properly and apply them at the right moment/time to stop serious rulebreaking.

If you don't mind a year mute - then just wait a year and try to get in touch with jagex at that point. Hopefully you can understand why they'd be a little less lenient with relatively new accounts.
do you know how I can get in touch with jagex besides appealing in the official page? it says i can't anymore after one appeal

There is no contact point you can use.
If you try one of the contact points for other issues, your message will be ignored.

The decision is yours now. Either move forward on a one month old muted account or start over on a new account that isn't muted and make sure you keep it in acceptable chat.
