I need to understand something, somehow and in some way, someone hijacked my OSRS account and turned it into a Jagex account, I haven't received an email warning or asking if its me for verification, and also the authenticator is activated yet he still managed to log in, I need to understand how that happened and how is that my responsability? noone had access to the password, and noone had access to my phone, my bank is gone, I go to bed at night, wake up in the morning see that my account isn't available try to recover it, Jagex support center say that they can see that a 3RD PARTY CLIENT has accessed my account and restores it, i log in through a jagex launcher because I can't log in on runelite anymore, see that my bank is empty and my account is standing at gauntlet with 168 kc (i had alot less then that), the jagex support email say that it's my responsability and that I can't revert the account back into being able to use runelite, I can't reach any moderator or support staff or anything of the sort, how did that happen, how is that my responsability, and what am I supposed to do with a 7 year old account that i have worked very hard on, paid for its membership with a credit card monthly and built its bank up when I now have nothing and can't even play the game like im used to, i'd appreciate any mod/support staff help on shedding some light of the matter please take responsability for your mistakes

you are blaming jagex, when you didnt have full security on the account, (jagex account)

if your email is hacked then they can turn off auth from email

to ask how its your responsibility is well clear, all account security is down to the player not jagex. jagex provide security measures. (bank pin, auth, jagex account) but it is in no way there responsibility.

i dont know what you mean about "reverting to use runelite" that makes no sense, runelite is just client you log in with. even with jagex launcher.

overall jagex had nothing to do with your account being hacked. the hacker got your information in one form or another, which will and always has lead to the owner of the account unfortunately giving that away, (phishing websites are designed this way)

we obviously cant tell you how the hacker got information. neither can jagex. but account security is 100% down to the player.

but from what you have said. i think you have downloaded the wrong runelite. and that is what got you hacked. (which is why it doesnt work)

uninstall that runelite. and go to osrs homepage click runelite and download that one, it will be on jagex launcher
