And if this is wrong, why can't I just contact Jagex ? I'd be more then happy to email them directly
You did contact Jagex - that's the entire purpose of the offense appeal system.
Submitting an offense appeal submits a request to Jagex to review the offense again and determine if it was applied in error. If it is determined the offense was added incorrectly, the appeal will be granted, the punishment will be lifted and the account will be free to use in-game chat again with immediate effect. If it is determined the offense was correct, the appeal will be denied and the punishment will remain in effect for the rest of the duration of the offense.

Or mabe there was a whole conversation you missed, and weres the insults bro. I called like 1 guy [edited] 1 time... 8 day ban
That makes sense to you?
Yes - there is some language that Jagex does not want within the game, no matter what the context. I suspect that something you said completely unrelated to cars is what was reported by another player or picked up automatically by Jagex's chat monitoring systems and led to the mute being added to your account.
There was a newspost that outlined Jagex taking a hard stance on some of that kind of language, you may be interested in reviewing it:
Chat filter improvements
In any case, a denied appeal means that Jagex is satisfied with leaving the offense in place, and as such there are no additional contact avenues available (including the forums). You will need to wait until the offense period has ended.
