Missing golden shards

I've downloaded and have started using the new Jagex account log in thing and the shards haven't been added to my account, my timer shows the event doesn't end for over 15 hours. I've also done a heap of clues and no shards there either, some people are saying the event has finished early as since the last update, they haven't been able to get any shards from skilling, quests or the download. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
