Once hijacked, you need to work in securing your different accounts and systems in an order that prevents hijackers from accessing your Runescape account again. Secure your computer by making sure it is up-to-date and has some sort of trusted anti-virus software on it. Perform a system scan to remove any possibility of malicious software.

Then, change your email account password, followed by your Runescape account password. At this point, I would then remove any unrecognized third-party logins linked to the account and re-enable the Authenticator (both of these can be found under your account settings).

Hijackers typically add an external account, e.g. Google, Facebook, etc. to access the account again once you recover it. So, be sure to end all current login sessions and remove these accounts like I previously mentioned.

Finally, always add a bank pin and secure your valuables in the bank when you're not playing. This prevents the hijacker from accessing your items for a few days and gives you time to recover your account in the meantime.
