I was hacked overnight and immediately pleaded to jagex to reroll my account from the last 24 hours. Even though I had 2 factor Auth they told me basically "oh well" I'm down around 10b in gear and gp and it sucks because having to rebuild with absolutely no support from the company that assured me my account would be safe is just so depressing.
Jagex can't do 24 hour rerolls on individual accounts.
The rerolls everybody knows about are skill exp rerolls,
not
time rerolls.
A skill exp reroll works solely on your XP, it does not return items or gp.
Was your Authenticator still active after the hijack?
If it was still active
, it usually means your device is insecure. You should also check the 'Linked Accounts' tab in account management and unlink any accounts you see linked, including your own. Click on 'Manage Steam' to check for a linked Steam account. If only your own third party account was linked, it means that account on its other website is insecure.
If your Authenticator was removed,
it means your email is insecure. You should change the password to your email right away and set up a 2-step verification on it to stop the hijacker from accessing it.
Once an account is recovered from a hijack, the damage is done. All you can do is secure your device, email and account to make sure a hijack never happens again and then move forward from there.
