There has been a lot of comments about just how powerful the new prayers are. Whilst I find them incredibly powerful and do not think they should be added it cannot be understated that this isn't the sole reason people are complaining about power creep so much.
The new weapons, new rings, the buffs to existing spells plus the new prayers all add up to an incredibly overpowered update. It feels like things are being developed in small steps so the increase is barely noticeable from Jagexs perspective however when it's presented, like in this newspost, it's obvious that it's over the top.
I've always erred on the side of caution when it comes to adding new items and I think just 1 of these would make the post quest bosses worth it. Perhaps Virtus because it's quite close to Ancestrals stats-wise, it's very thematic and with the appropriate rarity will be very rewarding.
Other ideas could be returned to in the future, such as the skill prayer book players were interested in or new BIS rings, which feel very out of place in this update.
