So many questions (so few, at jagex, capable or even willing to answer them).

Why 6 months?

What exactly is the reason behind the belief that there are "new" players out there that want to play old school and HAVEN'T?

Why not vanilla instead?

After 10 years of alienating peeps (with polls that never should have been, according to the original referendum that supported old school), why not try something that has a chance of bringing back old players and perhaps bringing in new ones?

Jagex will always be 'a day late and a dollar short' simply because they refuse to listen and take into account that there are people out there who want to play the game it was, not the garbage it's been turned into.

Hi Jagex,

I respectfully agree with Angel2D4 about what she said about the vanilla Old School Runescape worlds. I am still looking forward to the Old School Runescape Fresh Start Worlds though. Thank you for giving us an update about them. Have a great week! :)

Sincerely,

Hello There! Something came to mind about "Fresh Start Worlds". It says that our items will eventually be transferred to the main game after six months, and that's fine, but what about the experience you gain? I'm not sure if I understand... Do you make a brand new account for this "mode", or are you able to log in with your older accounts with a different profile like dead man mode?

If you can't log-in with your older accounts, would you consider making it so that we can use our older accounts similar to dead man mode, playing with a different profile? Then we could transfer both our items earned over the six month period, AND the experience we have gained. I think the player base would love it!

This is just a question mixed in with an honest opinion.
Thanks for all the great content!

[quote id=380-381-842-66263671-1-347293976]So many questions (so few, at jagex, capable or even willing to answer them). Why 6 months? They Wanted Everyone To Have "Ample Time To Get To A High Level. What exactly is the reason behind the belief that there are "new" players out there that want to play old school and HAVEN'T? Because ( From The Blog i Read ) Part Of The Reason Is Low Level Players Getting "Intimidated" By Max Characters Or Close To Max With Max Gear, The Other Reason i Think Was More Behind Also Getting Not Necessarilly "New" Players But More Returning Players That Havent Played in A Couple Years At Max. They Do Want Brand New People To This But I Really dont See How Also, Restarting The Economy Is Gonna Help ( This Was A nother Topic, That New Players Get Discouraged At Seeing A 1b Price Tag On Something, So The Hopes Of Basically Deleting Everything In Game, Item Drop Wise And Basically Hitting The Rest Button On items. Rune Scimmy Normal Server=13-18k (Average Giver Or Take A Couple k) FSW Will See That Same Weapon Will Be 25-45k, As It Was Back Before Grand Exchange And So On. Why not vanilla instead? I Wondered This As Well. Revert Game Back To When Barrows Was Endgame, No Bowfa, Or Any Of The New Weapons. After 10 years of alienating peeps (with polls that never should have been, according to the original referendum that supported old school), why not try something that has a chance of bringing back old players and perhaps bringing in new ones? In my opinion I Think They Will Never Get Back To It Because They Are Having To Prove To The Carlyle Company That They are worth The 588m$ They Invested In. And Jagex Probably Isntt Getting Enough Subs/Downloads Jagex will always be 'a day late and a dollar short' simply because they refuse to listen and take into account that there are people out there who want to play the game it was, not the garbage it's been turned into. Also, They Shouldnt Have Stated How Cheap It Was To Do Too.

Why not vanilla instead?

You've been told time and time again why not, thus id suggest rereading the reasons why not.

That's where you're wrong draco.. I've seen one mod's opinion on the subject... and that was YEARS ago.

Clearly, things have changed.. else there wouldn't be a release expected within the week of something called FRESH START worlds..

Perhaps you recall the 'reason' they didn't want to do vanilla back then? No?

Because it wasn't something they could afford to do. Oh but now.. now they've already admitted that it cost NEXT TO NOTHING.

You still want to cry it'll split the community? They already HAVE, and plan to extend the division next week lmao.

Perhaps you have no interest in a vanilla version... that doesn't mean there's not enough peeps out here that DO WANT IT.

Accept that. And move on.

Nah just because ppl want something doesnt mean it should happen.

I mean look at rsc and how many ppl want that to return, yet it also never will.

So like those ppl its high time to learn when somethings not going to happen.

So I've noticed there was a lot of confusion where people were excited to come into getting double exp(confusion stemming from the idea that it was going to be extremely similar to the rs3 version) to catch up with their other friends who have higher level characters. The FSW's just seem like something at the end of the day for people who are just looking for "achievement hunting" (which nothing wrong with that.) which doesn't appeal to a lot of players who might have lower-mid leveled characters who would be more inclined to just level their current accounts.

Is Jagex considering doing an exp multiplier for osrs for the idea of the fresh start worlds?

If people were interested would jagex allow for people to opt into Prestiging characters or wiping stats so they could just keep the same account name and such?
