Mod Reach could you please give us your thoughts on the auto-typing issue in game? Will it be an issue that will be addressed? Far too many are completely unaware that it is even against the rules of game-play.

So the bot busting has resumed then? Because on the bot busting schedule thread that was up and pinned a jmod said that it had been stopped for now... The bot busting thing I attended all we did was walk around world 333 which imo did no good.

I understand that the wc bots (which is what was focused on the most...) are everywhere but there are also a ton of mining bots, they are on every world at the Yanille mining pit. I mine there because it is the closest to the bank and it's a pain to have to out mine a bot just to get what I am needing. I report them every time I see them there and it honestly seems that it's not doing any good.

The fishing bots are also insane although I have to admit the number of the fishing bots does seem to have decreased a bit.

Also the web advert bots OMG if I leave my pm to on I get a lot of them and yes I know people say well just turn your chat to private, ok fine but I shouldn't have to just to avoid a bot.

wow omg thanks so much jagex! i love you! What is with these people who sell 100k+ flax or lobsters ? i am sure they didnt done that by themselve , i played 2 days for fishing 30-58 , how can they be then fishing 80+ in a few days!?!? does you ban them aswell? the guys who sell 100k+ of an item? plz do it is so sad... it doesnt worth for me anymore to fish lobsters because i cant make money anymore with that , so i have to train my stats :S

Of all the updates you can bring to ORS or 07 as the players like to say, bot busting is the best one. I an hearing so many complaints in game asking me why I'm not "banning" them which of course I can't. And for my own play, I've not even bother to cut yews though I have the lvl because of the swarm of bots. I've even found bots killing the Chaos Druids in the house north west of Adrounge.

If you need to hold up some other updates I doubt any one would complain if you using that time and resources to get rid of a large percent of bots. I think players would rather have the bots gone than have any other updates.

I see how botting can give an unfair advantage over another player such as, using a flax picking bot or a fishing bot, but my concern is the use of an Autotyper in oldschool world 1/2 varrock square. It's really hard to get your voice out to the people in oldschool worlds 1 and 2 when you want to sell or buy something because everyone is using an Autotyper and I mean EVERYONE. I really don't see the "unfair advantage" behind this nor the harms of using an Autotyper. It's really not disruptive to the public when everyone is using it. It's just an effective method to getting your word out to sell an item or buy one.

What I really think is funny is all the so called falsely banned people complaining. Here is a tip for you: no matter what skill you are training, keep a watch on the chat screen. If ppl try to talk to you, give a reply. Sure you can say you have chat off cause you are watching a movie or a vid, but is that worth being reported as a bot? If a player mod says something to you, well you can still see it even if your chat is off so many player mods are going to try to keep talking to you and if you don't reply, you are going to get reported for botting.

And another thing, if you have been using an auto typer, you are going to get reported for botting because that's just what you are doing. So you many not have been botting a skill but you were still botting.

Ohat, not everyone is using an auto typer. It might seem like they are but there are some legit players selling without it. Yes, it is very hard to sell when the autoers out number the legit players, but just cause you think everyone is doing it, doesn't make it right.

That isn't right Lapitcka nobody should have to talk to you or reply to a pmod or anyone else for that matter just to keep from getting reported as a bot.... there are plenty of other ways to tell if someone is botting other than them not speaking to you.
