21. If this is Jagex trying to signal how morally sound the organisation is by supposedly discouraging its players from indulging in decadence, there’s something to be said about the myriad of examples which contradict that – a can of worms I really don’t want to open – such as the fact the game is fundamentally calibrated in a way that exploits players’ propensities to develop gaming addiction, the fact Squeal Of Fortune was a thing, the fact EOC randomly happened and destroyed the gaming experience for a huge percentage of players (and nullified all their hard work creating accounts), the fact customer support STILL isn't even a thing and never has been... *closes lid of worm can*
22. The facade of modern PR 'smoke and mirror' shows runs counter to the conservative, no-nonsense nature of our game, with its .6 second game tick, 2.147B counting limit, and the fact it hasn’t changed too dramatically from the 2007 reboot, a reboot from a time when I was able to play the game on a Windows 98 fridge of a computer.
23. If unoccupied or irrelevant Jagex employees want something to do or something to bring up at team meetings to justify their position, get them doing something useful – work on the merch store to give us tasteful stuff we actually want, work on a spin-off mobile app that’s greatly simplified and more enticing to a wider audience, develop relationships with players/influencers that’ll help stimulate the player base, wash Mod Ash’s car, do whatever but DON’T work in a way that detracts from the game.
24. Memes are a fundamental driving factor for this game and the duel arena is one of the most key memes around. The value in it is of a far greater weight than the activism you’ve received against it and it’s not even close.
25. Consider the consequences of arbitrarily implementing regulations/game rules/initiatives – what does that mean for players’ attitudes towards them and towards the game more generally, when they can't rely on its trajectory in future
