Why is the quest cape being locked behind a raid? If I wanted to do ToB, I'd do ToB... You get so overrun in that spider room, It's not even enjoyable! I'm all up for a tough boss fight in a quest but forcing people to do ToB, easy mode or not, is just stupid. Not really a 'story mode' either!
The updates these days don't feel original at all, just 'repainted' existing content.

O yes thanks for letting me have 3 attempts at verzik in the quest although all my food is gone in my first attempt..... makes so much sense....
Yeah, big agreement here. I consider myself a a decent pvmer (not pro but not amateur) but am not maxed combat. It took my clan buddies 4 tries to get it done and by the 4th round none of us had really used any supplies until verzik-- just became tedious to go through the first 5 bosses to get slaughtered on verzik and start from scratch (because there were no supplies left). A misclick on verzik can cost you the whole raid.
I understand the idea of story mode--there's just no story and no explanation of any mechanics. I think it would be less headache if there were breaks in between that save progress, much like the majority of other quest boss fights. And this creates an opportunity for actual story between each boss instead of dropping a book that nobody cares to read. Another idea is to let you bank between deaths. So say you demolish the first 5 bosses and die at verzik--spawn outside and allow players to bank before attempting verzik again, and only making you start from scratch after those 3 attempts are failed.
Anyway, it was fun, just stressful and a big commitment. Having a 30 min raid fail and having to start over is a huge time sink, whereas boss fights in other quests are 5 or 10 mins, so not a huge loss. I also blew a mil in supplies despite mostly knowing what I was doing.
Thanks as always for being receptive to our comments. Looking forward to the kourend quest!

Hi I've got a question related to a misc. update that was rolled out with new ToB modes.
According to the update post an account requires 48 hours of members playtime to redeem LMS rewards. This account has 36 hours of total playtime over 99% of which has been on members. I membered up very shortly after tutorial island so I could take advantage of the wilderness altar on this account, my wilderness and PvP only ironman.
When I go to Hans he tells me I have roughly 36 hours of play time. When I try to redeem LMS points Justine implies I've only spent 12 hours of playtime (roughly 36 to go until I can redeem my rewards).
I'm wondering if:
a) The update is improperly worded. Is it 48 hours of members playtime since the update? I don't think this is the case because my main can redeem LMS points and has not spent 48 hours of playtime since the update.
b) The "time left to redeem LMS points" timer Justine displays is bugged but I might be able to spend my points after 48 hours of members play time?
c) The timer mechanism is bugged and accounts younger than 48 hours old when the update was rolled out has been reset to 0 hours
I have supporting screenshots on a reddit post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/nwhlq9/is_the_lms_reward_timer_update_bugged_or_is_this/
I don't think A is the case nor B because the times don't exactly match. So I'm inclined to think there might be an issue with this update.
Tbh I just want to wear my LMS victors cape, I've still got a few things to take care of on this account before I need blighted supplies for my journey.
I appreciate the quest is going to be reworked, which I hope will be fantastic! However I now need to vent some thoughts on this update.
I am of the opinion that this update is the laziest and least thought out in the history of Old School RuneScape. Even the accidental twisted bow spawn was better than this!
Whilst I appreciate experienced ToB players want more of a challenge and hard mode probably gave that to them but since it is not brand new I wonder how long this will last. Is it enough to tide over to raids 3?
Additionally the rewards feel terribly themed. The theatre has a strong Zamorak style and adding a Saradomin set of recolours just as an opposite feels wrong. The only exception is the Sanguine Ornament Kit, which was an excellent player suggestion.
I also understand inexperienced players need a route into higher level PvM and raids. Personally I probably fall into this category, however this story (easy) mode just doesn't attract me. The quest sounds pathetic and has put me off going there (I hope this changes with the rework).
I think a lower level raid would be better for getting inexperienced players into raiding. I don't think it should focus on grinding for rewards or money but just serve as a learning ground for various raid style encounters.
Finally we have signatures in the surprise forum update.
